Trying to make the world an easier place to be!

A brand on a mission to make life easier! A place where you can find fun and unique products that help you express yourself!

Hello!

I'm Kit, a nonbinary, queer, and disabled artist from the UK!

FuzziesArtDesigns started during a tough time in my life when I was struggling with my mental and physical health. I discovered that running a business gave me purpose and became a way for me to not only help others, but also help myself!

FuzziesArtDesigns has now expanded into a wonderful little community where it doesn't matter who you are, you are accepted and valued!

It All Started When..

During lockdown, I started to take my health and disabilities more seriously. I stopped suffering in silence and I started to look for accommodations to help me in my day to day life. I soon realised it was hard to find disability aids and tools that that didn't feel cold or clinical and that were affordable.

So, with a splash of humour, I set out to create fun products that allow people to communicate their needs and express themselves.

I now travel the country doing conventions and events so that I can bring awareness to my products and reach out to as many people as possible! You can find where I will be this year on my events page!

Growing up neurodivergent and disabled, I learnt that the world really wasn't built for people like me. Raising awareness and advocating for acceptance means a lot to me, and while I can't fix everything, I hope my creations can help make a small difference to someones life and wellbeing and can maybe bring a smile to their face too!

My Story

Growing up I always felt there was something different about me. I felt like I didn't quite fit in with my peers but couldn't really explain why. Recently, as an over 30 year old, I got diagnosed with Autism and ADHD and now feel like everything makes a lot of sense!

But just because I wasn't diagnosed earlier in life, doesn't mean I didn't have any struggles. Being undiagnosed and living with other trauma, my mental health took a bad turn. Through out my teens and early adulthood I was passed around through different therapists, counsellors and treatments.

When I was around the age of 13 I was also diagnosed with a chronic condition and became physically disabled.

Throughout all of this I never really knew what could help or what accommodations and resources were available to me. I felt alone and didn't really know anyone that was going through similar.

Looking back, I would have benefitted from a whole range of accommodations and resources that I just didn't know existed. This is why I am passionate that you do not need a diagnosis to use aids and tools. My motto is, if it helps you then it is made for you!

Now I am older I am discovering what works. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user, I'm learning to unmask and be my true self without shame and fear. And I am working on trying to make my business a safe corner of the world where people feel accepted, understood and seen!
